About the Program: The Faculty of Information Technology successfully conducted the 24-hour KU Hackathon-2025 at its campus, bringing together 26 teams from six different states. The Chief Guest was Mr. Vinod Pande, Project Manager at Yasham Software Services and the Guest of Honour was Dr. Piyush Mehta, CEO of Foresight Edge Private Limited. Dr. Omprakash Dewangan, Head of the Department of CS and IT and Convener of the event, delivered the opening speech, followed by Dr. R. Shridhar, Vice-Chancellor of Kalinga University and Dr. Byju John, Director General of Kalinga University.

The winners were:

1st Prize (INR 10,000/-) – Team BW Zero Waste Pioneers (Hirak Ganguly & Ipsita Tanaya Phukan, Braneware University, Kolkata)

2nd Prize (INR 7,500/-) – Team Spartans (Amarjit Singh & Priyanshu Prasad, IIT Madras)

3rd Prize (INR 5,000/-) – Team Kavach (Arhasi Soni & Jasleen Kaur Matharoo, Amity University, Raipur)

The event was well-coordinated by Mr. Kamlesh Kumar Yadav, Assistant Professor, with support from other faculty members of the CS & IT department. The valedictory ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Sreejit Panicker, Training Head at Techment Technology Pvt. Ltd.
