

About the Program: The Central Library and Research Department of Kalinga University, in collaboration with Elsevier, organised a one-day workshop - "From Trends to Transformation: Harnessing Scopus & Publishing Insights for Research Impact" in a hybrid mode. The workshop saw an active participation of 30 research scholars, faculty members, and professionals in person, and more than 70 participants joined online from all across India. The event was inaugurated by Dr. R. Shridhar, Vice-Chancellor of Kalinga University, who highlighted the University's commitment towards research quality and publication visibility. The event was held in two sessions. In the 1st session, Dr. Nitin Ghosal, Ph.D., Customer Success Manager, South Asia, Elsevier, gave an in-depth overview of the Scopus database, navigation techniques, advanced search strategies, bibliometric data extraction, and effective research planning and collaboration. In the 2nd session, Dr. Abdul Azeez E. P., Assistant Professor, Vellore Institute of Technology, focused on publishing insights, academic writing, common causes of manuscript rejection, and the emerging role of AI in research.
