OBJECTIVES

The objectives of the IQAC are-

• To ensure continuous improvement in the entire operations of the University.
• To ensure stakeholders connected with higher Education, namely parents, teachers, staff, would be employers, funding agencies and society in general, of its own quality and probity.

FUNCTIONS

The functions of the IQAC are:

• To propose policies and strategies for significant contribution in the overall development of the University.
• Arrange for feedback responses from Students, Faculty, Alumni and Recruiters for quality – related institutional processes.
• Development and application of innovative practices in various programs/activities leading to quality enhancement.
• To check various parameters for academic and administrative activities through regular visits to classes and meetings with students and faculty members
• To monitor class work and activities related to academics.
• To conduct periodic visits of different department and do departmental audits.
• To verify and review the effectiveness of quality parameters.
• To implement suggestions that are put forward in the meetings by the committee members of the IQAC after taking necessary approvals from the management.
• To review the Teaching learning process and methods of operations time to time.
• To Document the various programs / activities leading to quality improvement.

STRATEGIES

• IQAC of Kalinga University will adopt a participatory approach among the staff of the University.
• IQAC proposes to meet regularly to look into the quality and effectiveness of all the related process in the university.
• IQAC will evolve mechanisms and procedures for :
• Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
• The relevance and quality of academic and research programs.
• Equitable access to and affordability of academic programs for various sections of society.
• Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
• Student Information System
• Improving the credibility of evaluation procedures.
• Ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure and services.
• Research sharing and networking with other institutions in India and abroad.

Message from Director IQAC

Expertise Dr. Vijayalaxmi Biradar stands out as a visionary leader and a highly accomplished academician in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering, currently serving as Professor and Director of IQAC at Kalinga University, Raipur. With a Ph.D. from GITAM University and over two decades of experience, she has significantly contributed to education, research, and institutional quality enhancement.

A Senior IEEE Member, she holds prestigious roles including Secretary and Chairperson of IEEE WIE AG Madhya Pradesh Section and Program Co-Chair of the IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference 2025 in San Jose, USA.

She has authored over 60 research papers, published 7 patents, guided multiple Ph.D. scholars, and secured projects worth over ₹1 crore.
